Prove your humanity

Perth indie rockers Death by Denim have provided us with yet another calming and catchy tune to blast when you need a pick me up. Cigarettes and Honey takes you back to summertime with its feel good and dreamy sound.

You can hear the influence of rock bands like Arctic Monkeys in the band’s developing sound. Since 2017, Death by Denim have been on a roll musically and have proved themselves to be an unstoppable force. Cigarettes and Honey is a great follow up to their defining tracks of Ocean Lines, Tattoo, After Party and Take Me Far Away Sometime.

The band described the track as “a portal to that party down your road, where all your friends celebrate the moment you walk in.” With punchy percussion and psychedelic guitar riffs, Death by Denim demand your attention in this track and that’s exactly what they get.

Alongside the release of Cigarettes and Honey, the band put out a video clip for the track—a fun and mysterious 3-minute-long journey featuring frontman Nik riding a push bike in a beekeeper suit.

Catch Death by Denim at The Bird March 22 for their ‘Cigarettes and Honey’ single tour.
