New to the scene, garage rock band Highline is a band to watch. Having formed in early 2019, these four musos have kick-started their career in the Australian music scene, with their first release “Had to be Said.”

Hailing from Sydney, Sam, Rhys, James and Jim have a brit rock sound, very reminiscent of Catfish and the Bottlement, nailing the upbeat tempo and indie-rock hooks. Taking notes from Lime Cordial and Spacey Jane with their groovy riffs, “Had to be Said” has a punchy sound, with frank lyrics about love lost and the aftermath of a breakup.

With the band set to release a new tune next week, we can only hope it lives up to the bar they’ve set with this track.
