Prove your humanity

With a solid start to 2020, Ghost Care is back again with another catchy alt-pop single. Released at the start of the month, Oxygen is the trio’s fourth new track this year, after putting out their debut EP Outdoor Recreation Centre and single, Midnight, earlier on.

With jangly guitars, lively drums and layered vocals, the song’s got this carefree, sunny vibe to it that the world needs a little bit of right now.

Speaking to RTRFM, lead singer and guitarist Beau discussed the song’s deeper meaning. ‘Oxygen is about a friend who was going through a really tough time and pushing me away in the process.’

‘This song was inspired from the moment we finally got together, and they told me what was really going on. I realised the impact you can have on someone’s life when you’re just there for them even if it hurts or it’s inconvenient.’

Oxygen is out now.
