I don’t know which one hurts more

Ending what we had or the fact that it felt right doing so 

As if it’s supposed to be this way

Maybe we were fated to love each other but we were never meant to stay

 

Until the very end, our connection remained unnamed

I wonder if it’s because it was different, something we hadn’t experienced before?

And so, we failed to find the words worthy enough for it to be explained

Or it could be out of fear; out of disbelief because it was so good, it couldn’t be real at all?

 

Now that I think about it

Maybe it never was
