This week, we’re checking out a tune from local lads Great Gable. I Swear is a serenely punchy track from their newest EP Lazy Bones Tapes.

The song has cosy lyrics accompanied by bright and crunchy guitar pieces, creating a laid-back tone with an air of comfort. Fitting in with the balance of mellow and punchy sounds the South-Western boys, now Perth-based, have been developing over the past few years. I Swear is a warm testament to their successful music-making.

I first came across the indie-rock group at Grooving the Moo last year, a big year for them, having played SOTA Fest and Fools Festival too. Not to mention, a debut tour in New Zealand.

Great Gable is playing at Falls Festival this weekend. Among big names like Halsey, Lewis Capaldi and John Farnham, they’ll be playing alongside local acts Jack Davies and the Bush Chooks and Gazey.
