If you’re into sunny bops in mid-winter, this wholesome track by Perth band Scarlet Drive will definitely be your thing. Despite being fairly new to the music scene, they’ve left a big impression. Their newest track, released on June 7th, captures the idea of that sweet honeymoon period before you realise their personality “only runs skin deep”. It’s a cheerful track with some razor-sharp witty lyrics.

“Shall I compare thee to a Summer’s day / Still hot but a little too cliché / And I know you’re not a dreary grey / But you’re still fifty shades of plain” belts vocalist and guitarist Michael Millimachi, backed up by Michael Madafferi on lead guitar and Maddey Eccleston on bass.

If you’re in the mood for dancing in your bedroom and recharging to something new before exams, you can’t go wrong here.
